There is something about cold weather in January that makes my mind wander to Heide Hill...

"Heide and Marcy's" class is in the fifth grade now. And very soon, all those kids will scatter to middle schools, but she will always be a part of them, always be a part of Rock Creek.

I sit on her bench in the entry-way quite often with kids who need a "walk and talk." I bet she'd have the perfect words for these kids, know exactly when to listen and when to talk and when to hug and when not to.

Man, am I lucky to share her space...
