As I think about packing up my classroom and moving to Texas, I reflect on the last seven years at Rock Creek. Heide comes to mind. She was one of the first to truly make me feel at home.

I remember a conversation we had about strong women. We each thought the other was one...and...we were both right!

Heide would be happy that my husband has a job and we will once again be living together. We would laugh over girl talk about the latter!

I will continue to think about what Heide would do in situations, be it with a child, parent or colleague. I will miss talking with Jim when he drops by Rock Creek, enjoys the sunshine at the farmer's market with the girls or has a bite to eat at Stanford's. His face doesn't just light up, it glows, as he tells the latest about Jordan & Morgan. Heide certainly lives on through them!
